¡¡¡¡After completing its domestic hubs network layout, CMHI¡ªestablished by China Merchants Group¡ªhas now targetted Vietnam as the centre of its 2008 oversea development strategy. Fu Yuning, President of China Merchants Group, recently revealed to the media in Shenzhen that the group will start a number of cooperation programs with relevant Vietnamese departments, including an initial investment of USD 300 million in one port in Ho Chi Minh City (and a total investment of USD 1 billion), construction of six 100,000-ton terminals and other logistics projects. He also said that the investment in Vietnam will be long-term and consecutive, and the global development strategy will not be influenced by those changes in domestic and international economic environment this year.
