In the first half year

¡¡¡¡Guangzhou port container throughput growth ranks first in the world
¡¡¡¡Guangzhou port¡¯s in the first half now, Statistics show Guangzhou port handled 5.99 million TEU in the first half of this year, a strong growth of 36.4 % year on year. The strong growth of Guangzhou port was not only seen in container business for foreign trade, but also in container business for domestic trade.


¡¡¡¡SIPG container vlume up 10.4%
¡¡¡¡Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) handled 13.8 million TEU during the first half, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. The group's transit containers via waterway cumulated to 5.27 million TEU, up 16.1%, taking up 38.1% in Shanghai Port's throughput total. Overall tonnage grew 10.2 % to 190 million tonnes. Foreign trade cargo went up 12.9% to 128 million tonnes.


¡¡¡¡Dalian port container volume up 23.8%
¡¡¡¡Dalian port, which is the largest in northeast China, saw its container throughput grow 23.8% year on year to 2.15 million TEU in the first half, representing 47.8 % of its annual target throughput. Overall tonnage of the cargo handled by the port rose 12.3 % to 120 million tonnes, which took up 50%of its annual target.


¡¡¡¡Ningbo port container volume up17%
¡¡¡¡Ningbo port saw its container volume increased 17% year on year to a record high of 5.18 million TEU in the first half, keeping as the fourth largest container port in mainland China.
¡¡¡¡Ningbo port altogether handled 176.48 million tons of cargo in the first six months, an increase of 5.6% year on year
