¡¡¡¡Regulations on Crew Services Management is lately issued and will be implemented since 1st October this year.
¡¡¡¡According to the regulation, when setting up Class-A ship crew service agencies, there must a written application submitted to the Chinese Maritime Safety Administration; for establishing Class-B ship crew service agencies and river trade crew service agencies, there is supposed to submit a written application to local industry and commerce authorities or provincial maritime administration. The regulation requires all crew services agencies to establish work systems, crew beadrolls, crew archives, publicize the service content and charges and protect crews stipulated rights and interests; recruiting non-registered crews or crews still with labor contract (agreement), and deducting crew's wages are forbidden. Meanwhile, the crew services agencies, crews and employers must confirm labor relations and sign labor contracts (agreement). |
