¡¡¡¡The Tianjin Binhai New District's opinions to speed up the construction of North China international shipping center was officially issued on Sep 8. It made clear statement that the center will be completed by 2015 and its service will cover north China, northeast and central/west Asia.
¡¡¡¡According which, by then, with Tianjin's Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone as the core area, its channel rank is supposed to have handling capability of 300,000-ton ships, dealing with 550 million-ton cargos and 17 million TEUs respectively a year, and shipping related added value industry will be over CNY 200 billion.
¡¡¡¡To realize the goal, the Tianjin Binhai New District vows to accelerate the construction of Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone, port infrastructure, logistics network and service system, as well as promote the development of cruise shipping industry, improve the policy and law environment, and give more finance support.
