|  | ¡¡¡¡Guiyang plans to build two port areas in Kaiyang and Xifeng. The shipping channel is expected to be completed by 2014. Xifeng port is under construction with two berths, each can acommodate 500-ton ships and dealing 500,000-ton cargoes annually; while the construction of Kaiyang port is to commence next year, 3 berths of handling 50-ton ships will be built and, designed cargo handling capacity is 104.6 million tones per year.
¡¡¡¡Laizhou port, in Shandong province, has just fulfilled all preparations for the construction of its 50,000 tons channel project, which plans to start in March, 2010. It is expected to be completed within two years.
¡¡¡¡An opening ceremony of Quzhou International Logistics Centre was held on Sep 4. The dry port has a designed handling capacity of 50,000 TEU, or 300 million tones of cargoes annual, trading value at 800 millions.
