¡¡¡¡Sun Hong, President of Dalian Port Co., Ltd., said in the 2009 Summer Davos Conference that Dalian Port is actively looking for some sites suitable for deep-water ports, a new port is possible to be built in Dandong.
¡¡¡¡Statement by Sun, the first step in coping with the financial crisis is to control the progress of investment. So, Dalian Port had reduced its investment in container terminal, and try its best to control. In addition, accelerate its investment in the crude oil and ore terminals, share of ore imports substantially increased accordingly, so that the other ports within the Bohai Bay are benefiting.
¡¡¡¡Dai Yulin, Executive Deputy Mayor of Dalian, said that Dalian Municipal Government is actively to promote Dalian Port's overall listing in the A shares, however the timetable is yet to be decided.
